Plan to install cameras on your street. Each house can have two cameras that detect motion. A single smart digital video recorder can serve the whole street. Using CCTV wire across the street is cost-effective. The monthly electricity cost is low. There's no need for a UPS in Hyderabad. It's best to buy from local shops, as they can assist with upgrades and maintenance of the security system. A monitor isn't necessary since people usually check recordings only during incidents. A 12-hour memory is sufficient. The smart digital video recorder should have advanced motion detection and audio capabilities to capture inappropriate language. It should ignore movements from lizards, cats, and dogs. An inbuilt siren is desirable, which should sound to alert neighbors and prompt them to take action. Vehicle movements do not need to be detected. Smartphone notifications are not essential. The primary function of the camera should be to detect intrusions, identify people’s movements, and capture any altercations or shouting. Recordings should be sent via WhatsApp to the local Sub Inspector and Constables for quick communication. The cameras must be weatherproof and able to detect if someone tries to damage them, triggering the siren. Capturing images in black and white is acceptable, as the surroundings are not a priority. While analog cameras offer clarity, our main goal is to identify and photograph individuals. IP cameras and cloud storage are unnecessary; a memory card that formats every 12 hours will suffice. Resolution is not a major concern as long as the person is detected. We need to ensure that street lights are functioning at night. The system should effectively detect when someone enters or exits the area. Mobile view is suitable for the people who went to remain in the background and would like to watch the incident and report to the police, lawyer and the required people to control the situation.
