About Naveen Gayar

Naveen Gayer was born on 21st January in Hyderabad. Brought up in Secunderabad, Naveen was a mischievous kid.

All the qualities and peculiarities that one own may have some hidden connection with his family roots! We all are mere reflections of what or how our older generations were. Even in Naveen’s case, this is the same. Most of his characteristic traits trail down to his family genes; that of the Gayaaru’! Grey hair has been a constant trademark of the Gaayaru since generations. Be it a young man or an older person, all end up having grey hair! But it is not a thing of concern since it tops the trending list nowadays! Lucky enough, none of them had ever reached the state of baldness; things would have been altogether in a different scenario then! The likelihood that a person has or will develop an eyesight problem is inherited. However we can’t ascribe absolutely everything to genetics. Those who spend less time sitting in front of a computer and avoid straining their eyes are far less likely to suffer from these troubles. In case of the Gayers’, the era of spectacles had started off with Naveen’s wife and himself! Not sure whether this will get passed over to the next generation or not. It’s something yet to figure out. Not everyone has the innate ability to drive a car. Even after one learns all the rules of the road and pass the driving test, if he has special genes that affect his ability to orientate himself, the speed of his reactions, or his memory, then getting behind the wheel may still turn out to be a bad idea. But, it’s not the same with the Gayers, the craze and passion for driving has been there with them since earlier times itself. The one thing that most of the family members have in common are their eating habits. All the Gayers including Naveen himself are spice lovers! They love to add various spices to their dishes just the way they add vibrant emotional flavours to their lives! Naveen is a food addict but not an alcohol addict. In fact, most of his family people are non-alcoholics! They know the value of health and make use of each moment doing productive things and not just indulging in mere temporary delusions. Smoking is more like a taboo for the Gayers. Only 2 out of 10 smoke among them, that to occasionally! Maybe this accounts for the lower rate of health issues amongst them. Neither do they have diabetes nor any heart related problems. On pondering more into their family, we will get to identify the trend of high blood pressure getting hierarchically carried forward. But even that has been taken care of ever since. Most of the Gayers are physically at their best and so is Naveen. Maybe that clearly explains his medium sized belly! Travel is yet another thing that binds his family together. Many of them are borne travellers .They love to see places and explore different cultures. Perhaps that’s the reason why they could not focus on any kind of family business fundas! Business has not been in their blood for quite a long time. Most of them are employees in many of the MNCs worldwide. While the men work hard and thrive become the CEOs of their working companies, the women out there continue to support them and play the CEO role of their family pretty well in fact!

Naveen lost his father at the age of 10. Even after being a single parent, his mother did not give up. With her positive attitude as his supporting pillar, Naveen started showing interest in studies. He did his primary school in Madhu High School and completed schooling with Distinction.

He got admission into St. Mary’s Centenary Junior College, Where he had good time with Telugu Lecturers talking about what is right and what is wrong. Because of his deep thought process on character development, He was called Gandhi by his college mates. His interest in spirituality drawn him to take inspiration from Swami Vivekananda. He used to attend personality development sessions at Ramakrishna Math.

He later joined S.P Degree College, Padmaraonagar. But his quest for knowledge didn’t end there. After  realising that he is going in the wrong direction, he left the fees with the degree, wrote competitive exam and joined for Bachelor of computer applications. He learned C language even before the lecture had started and his degree mates started calling him Bill Gates. He became a front bencher since then! He used to spend his free time in the library and kept on referring books that were completely different from those which his curriculum suggested! His interest in studies made him closer to the authors of the course. His unstoppable enthusiasm urged him to take up Masters in Information Systems. During his Final Semester, he did internship with Pramati Technologies, Begumpet, Hyderabad. Later through their reference, joined their sister organization, NIMAYA, a start-up. But, due to the pressure from external factors, later decided to join Cognizant. He learned Software life cycle development well looking at end to end of the releases with Ameriprise, a spinoff of American express. He also got an opportunity to work with GE and got certified as Green Belt in Six Sigma. He is now continuing is career in Infosys and also working with ANZ Bank as client at Melbourne. This is evident from the fact that he is also working with ANZ Bank as client at Melbourne. He had been working mainly at the backend part involving APIs development, designing and deployment. He is aiming to become a full stack developer.

He is quite an introvert. He prefer solitary activities more and mostly get exhausted by social interaction! He is quite sensitive to external stimulations in general. May be its because of his solitude that he started becoming intuitive! He is a very imaginative, open-minded and curious person. He loves to go beyond the lines in a book. He prefer to focus on hidden meanings and future possibilities. It seems like his mind tends to point inward while at the same time gently focusing somewhere beyond the horizon! He enjoy questioning, wondering and connecting the dots in the "bigger picture”. In this era where practicality leads the line, there comes situations where practicality get overrated, especially when a situation calls for serious change and "colouring outside the lines". This is where people like him shine! He is emotionally very expressive. More of an empathic type, he prefer less competition and focus on social harmony and cooperation instead. He is kind of a judging personality. He feels most comfortable when the course ahead is well marked. He would rather come up with five backup plans than deal with events as they come! He prefer clarity and closure, sticking with the plan rather than going with the flow. People like him tend to have a string work ethic their duties and responsibilities above everything else. To him, laws and standards are the key to success. He is basically a perfectionist. He always try to counterbalance his self-doubts by achieving more. He tend to notice little problems and often do something about it before it become larger ones.

Naveen is a really good team player. He is always ready to take up any challenge that comes his way. He is always open for improvement if required and accepts things told to him in a positive manner. Over the years, he has developed a sense of optimistic attitude towards all the hurdles that life had planned for him. He enjoy questioning, wondering and connecting the dots in the "bigger picture”. The technical areas where he first faced little difficulty and saw no room for improvement are his stronger areas now! That shows how hardworking and dedicated person he is.He always try to counterbalance his self-doubts by achieving more. He tend to notice little problems and often do something about it before it become larger ones. Earlier, he was not much of a creative person. Innovations when required, were not that much fulfilled by him. But gradually, he could gain control in that area as well.  Improvement is normal, but improvising in an innovative manner is indeed a tough task; Naveen successfully completed that task with flying colors!

Hyderabad is the place where I was born and brought up. Being a Technology savvy with 15+ years of experience I can say that I am an honest, confident, hardworking and a very professional individual. Recently I have worked and got 1.5 billion dollar project to Infosys.

I got master’s in information systems, since I’m always ready to learn that master’s degree doesn’t stop me. I am a Sun certified java programmer and also certified as AWS solution Architect and planning for Azure. I’m good at using word, excel and PowerPoint. In future if I have time I will do PHD.

Talking less and doing more is my motto. My team tells me that I give them a lot of freedom in how they do their work. I’m responsible for my part of the deliverable and also for the collective delivery of the entire project. If anybody of team fail, I will pick it up and do it myself. Throughout the process, I keep adapting and updating my seniors to ensure that I am on track and my efforts are not getting wasted. I have seen the Finacle of Infosys, their flagship product.

According to me, being educated and have to work with mostly logical things and if we plan well, things can be done at a less time and also Hard work is delivering work on time with more effort and smart work is delivering work on time, with lesser effort. I always try to stay focused on what I am and what I need. This helps me respond to change effectively.

It does take me some time to forge positive working relationships with new colleagues, but when it comes to technology, I am always the front runner. I am a good leader. That is the reason why today, I manage a 5-member strong team in a MNC. Also I’m quite organized. I keep all my documents, certificates and files labeled and stored. My desk, folders, software files, clothes, kitchen and everything else is always well arranged, sorted and neatly kept. That’s why lack of order and discipline irritates me, but 4 years of onsite life has taught me to cope and adjust with other people.

In my view, Honesty, loyalty, and determination to achieve my team’s target. Preparing a presentation and talking about it in front of an audience, and then getting back to them with answers in the question and answer round motivates me.

When coming to my short-term goal, it is to join a reputed company, like yours, where my job role would allow me to apply my knowledge and key strengths. Following which, I would see myself as an end-to-end Digital Marketing Strategist or a Consultant in the long run. 3 years from now, I see myself as an experienced and reliable senior in the team and 5 years from now, I assume that I will be ready to take up managerial responsibilities like product strategy. For the next 10 years I would like to work for this organization.

I’m passionate about cooking. I love to stir up a new dish or experiment with a new recipe every now and then. I am not comfortable working nights and weekends on a regular basis, unless there is some urgent deliverable or a resource crunch in the team, I will surely pitch in. But working odd shifts is not good for the mental and physical health of employees and I hope you understand the same. I like helping my family, whenever I get chance. Be it an emotional boost or a financial aid, I am always around for them.

I do not have severe health issues, but I do have a bronchitis, which I prefer using 4 wheeler.

Naveen was good at his studies from the school days itself. The marks he got from the school days itself shows that. Especially he passed the degree in BCA and Post Graduation in Informations System with First Division, which shows how much he loves the world of computer and its related things. By this time he worked for 5 companies like Nimaya, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Persistent, GE Energy, and now with Infosys Limited. from all the
companies he worked with he got a very excellent reviews from corresponding officials. He is not a person who like to work  only in one company throughout his lifetime, that's why he shift the companies as he get opportunities. For the past 7+ years he is working for Infosys as a Technology Architect, where is awarded with bonus salaries during different quadrant which clearly shows how much hard working he is and how much he loves his job. As he is taking different certifications he shows his enthusiasm for studying new things.
